Photographer Seamus Murphy came back to Afghanistan 16 years later. The Taliban era has ended years ago but not so much has changed since then.

25 Stunning Infinity Pools Around the World

An infinity edge pool (also named negative edge, zero edge, disappearing edge or vanishing edge pool) is a swimming or reflecting pool which produces a visual effect of water extending to the horizon, vanishing, or extending to “infinity”. They are often seen at fancy or exotic resorts, exclusive estates, and in advertisements. The infinity pool design concept is said to have originated in Bali, Indonesia, where its inspiration came directly from observing the dramatic effect created by the ubiquitous terraced rice paddies, known locally as sawah, for which the island is famous.

Sit back, relax, and take a trip around the world through the lens of the infinity pool with these 25 incredible pictures.

Underwater Church in Venezuela

Here we’ve got several amazing images from Venezuela. The cross in the first picture is not a grave. it’s a cross on the top of Church of Potosi. The church was covered by water and only this cross stayed on top. But when water left the old church appeared in all its beauty. Take a look. It’s unbelievable.

Nintendo Controller Church in Ethiopia

This buried church in Ethiopia looks like a NES controller from the sky. The Church of St. George in Lalibela, Ethiopia, was dug out of the earth, apparently by time-travelling video game lovers from space. See the church on Google Earth here.
